Accreditations
ACPAT
ACPAT stands for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy, which is a professional network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. It means I spent 3 year qualifying as a human physiotherapist, then spent time practicing before undertaking a 2-year course to specialise as an animal physiotherapist. ACPAT qualification means that I have reached the highest standard available in my professional field and have real-world, on the ground experience.
RAMP
I am also a member of RAMP – the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners. That means I meet the high standards required to be added to their register which include:
- My educational qualifications demonstrate my knowledge base, skills and proficiency
- I have proof of Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
- I’ve committed to meeting a minimum level of Continuing Professional Development
- I’ve signed their Standards for Practice – to the equivalent level of practitioners in the human field.
